Purposes and legal bases
- Audience measurement
Google Analytics 4, deployed through Google Tag Manager — pages viewed, where visits come from, device used. Legal basis: your consent, collected by the consent banner before any measurement cookie is set. You can withdraw it at any time (see "Cookies and trackers" below).
- Answering your enquiries
Newsletter sign-up form, booking a call with a data expert. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request, or your consent where it is explicitly asked for.
- Google integrations (Biron for Sheets, authentication)
Described in detail under "Google user data" further down this page. Legal basis: performance of the contract between you and Biron when you use those features.
Cookies and trackers
Apart from the cookie strictly necessary for the site to work, no cookie is set before you have accepted it. You can change your choice at any time through the "Manage cookies" link, in the footer of every page of the site.
- cc_cookie
Remembers your consent choice, so you are not asked again on every visit. Strictly necessary — not subject to consent. Retention: 13 months.
- _ga, _ga_<identifier>
Set by Google Analytics 4 once audience measurement has been accepted — they distinguish visitors and sessions without identifying you by name. Subject to consent. Retention: 2 years, or until you withdraw your consent.
Retention periods
Individual audience-measurement data is kept for 2 months in Google Analytics 4 before being deleted; beyond that, only aggregated data, which can no longer identify you, remains in our reports. Data submitted through a contact form is kept for as long as handling your enquiry requires.
Recipients and transfers outside the European Union
Audience-measurement data is processed by Google Ireland Limited, which may transfer it to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. None of your data is sold or passed to third parties for advertising purposes.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection in respect of your data, as well as a right to portability and the right to withdraw your consent at any time — without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal. To exercise them, contact us at xavier@biron-analytics.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
Third Parties
When third-party applications or services are integrated with our Services, we may receive information based on the configuration of those integrations. This information may include details such as names and email addresses, depending on the specific third-party service. The exact data shared varies based on the settings and privacy policies of each service. Please refer to the details provided below for each third-party service to understand what data is shared with our Services.
Google user data
Biron for Sheets
The Biron for Sheets application retrieves data from Biron servers and imports it into a user’s Google spreadsheet upon their request. No data is extracted from Google Sheets to our servers. As a result, Biron for Sheets does not store or retain any Google user data.
Authentication
Google serves as an external identity provider within an OpenID Connect authentication process. In this context, we store the Google user ID and email address. This information is not shared with third parties and is retained only for purposes aligned with our business needs.
Data Collection and Use
We collect and use data obtained through Google Analytics APIs to improve our services and personalize user experience. This data may be shared with third parties solely for service improvement and analytics.
Limited Use
Data obtained from third parties will only be used for the purposes explicitly granted and will not be used for any other unauthorized purposes such as selling data or unrelated advertising.
User Consent
We obtain explicit consent from users before accessing or using their data. Users are informed about the specific data being collected and how it will be used. By using our services, users agree to this data collection and usage policy.
Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access and breaches. This includes encryption, access controls, and regular security audits to ensure the safety of the data.
Data retention
We store your personal information for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes.
